Practical Wheel Lock Storage by Vytas Banionis
The film canister has ample space for the lock and is slightly bigger than the diameter of the wheel lock.
Height is not an issue since there's more than enough space in the canister. As you can see it falls right in.
Where to put it? After seeing on many occasions of others looking for their wheel locks inside the car (behind seats, gloveboxes, ashtrays, etc) it's always a pain to try to locate. After not using it for a long time, a lot of items may get placed over it depending where it's stored making it even harder to locate when you actually need it. My thinking is that the wheel lock should be located with your tools in the back trunk. You're going to go back there to get the lugnut wrench so having your wheel lock in the same location is what's best. Looking around in the form fitted foam tool storage area under the trunk mat, I found an area that's perfect to drop in your wheel lock that's inside your film canister. It's just forward of where the lugnut wrench is placed. The film canister is of the right height and doesn't protrude upward. Fit's perfectly! It's not absolutely necessary that the wheel lock be stored in a film canister. The wheel lock alone can be placed in this position. I think it looks more tidy if it's in a case and it will keep the wheel lock clean from any items that may possibly get lodged in it .
You may notice another item stored below the lugnut wrench.
